Clacton Animal Aid

There was a question mark hanging over the future of the Dog section at the above Charity.
Jane & Claudine of Spirit of the Dog were asked to assist with some of the dogs deemed to need help before they can be re-homed.
They attended on Saturday 12th January 2008 and worked with Charlie a two year old Collie-X who has never been socialised and displays aggression towards other dogs. They spent an hour working with him and another dog, Ruby a month Labradoodle and her potential new owners, at the centre to begin there rehabilitation. There is a great deal of patience needed in this situation, however, there were some positive signs of the dog giving calming signals after an hour, however more work is needed.
They spent a long time visiting the centre and meeting the dogs that need help. They talked to the owners about the dogs diet and suggested a diet without additives.
The work they have done has been very positive, Charlie is beginning to display much calmer behaviour.

UPDATE
Clacton Animal Aid have now changed all the dogs diet's at the centre and have noticed an amazing improvement in the dog's behaviour at the kennels.
Ruby the Labradoodle has now gone home with her new owners and will be keeping her after one to one input with Jane.
The work they have done has been very positive. Jane & Claudine will be doing more work at the Charity in the near future.
